We care about Europe’s natural water sources and are committed to ensuring that the high safety, quality and environmental standards of natural waters are recognised and maintained.

Natural Mineral Waters Europe is a non-profit trade association. In this capacity, we advise and support our members on scientific, health, technical and regulatory aspects. We furthermore promote healthy hydration, a circular economy and best practice for environmental protection and sustainable management.

As a trade association, we address all issues impacting the industry, raising them in front of both EU institutions and international organisations. We are an active member of both Food Drink Europe and the International Council of Bottled Water Associations (ICBWA) to promote the unparalleled qualities of natural mineral water and spring waters.

We were founded in 2003 as the European Federation of Bottled Waters (EFBW) in Brussels, with a focus on linking all of the individual European natural mineral and spring water associations. Since 2021 we now operate as Natural Mineral Waters Europe (NMWE) to reflect our increased work in the area of environment and the pristine qualities of our product better in our name.
