Natural Mineral Waters Europe (NMWE) is pleased to announce the submission of its third annual report to the European Commission as part of its commitment to the EU Code of Conduct for Responsible Food Business and Marketing Practices. This milestone underscores our dedication to fostering healthy, circular, and sustainable food systems across Europe.
The EU Code of Conduct, developed collaboratively between the European Commission and industry stakeholders, serves as a strategic framework to promote responsible practices within the food and beverage sector.
Under the Code, we committed to delivering tools and guidance to help all actors in our sector, from large companies to our hundreds of SMEs, to transition in the areas of decarbonisation, biodiversity protection, circularity, and water stewardship.
We are happy to report that the committed tools and guidance are now completed or close to completion.
In line with our commitment to “promote – cascade – develop – engage”. We are now turning our focus on disseminating the tools we have developed throughout our sector, with the support of NMWE’s national trade associations.
NMWE Secretary General Patricia Fosselard:
Our commitment to the EU Code of Conduct reflects our dedication to environmental sustainability and responsible business practices. We are proud of the progress we have made so far. We remain steadfast in our mission to help all players in our industry contribute to achieving EU’s objectives under the Green Deal.
